a Facebook Ads report on Google Data Studio

Good Facebook Ads reporting is the key to communicating and analyzing your performance effectively.

My favorite reporting tool, I found it years ago, it is Google Data Studio . From its beginnings, the tool was already super powerful and it has continued to improve. I have already written several articles on Google Data Studio that I use to create quality automated and visual reports, for the clients that I support on Google Ads or Facebook Ads in particular.

This article explains why and how to create a Facebook Ads report on Google Data Studio .

For this, I recommend the excellent Supermetrics connector , which I have also been using for several years.

Facebook Ads Manager and Ad Reports: Benefits and Limitations

If you run advertising campaigns on Facebook Ads, you may simply use Facebook Ads Manager to report and analyze your performance.

So, no need to multiply the tools; your data is on Facebook, so you might as well analyze it on this platform. It is true that it is the easiest for small, quick analyses. However, if you often perform the same analyses, you must reselect your metrics, refilter your data, etc. which can be time-consuming…

Facebook Ads then offers a solution: its Advertising Reports tool.

Step 3: Define what data to display and how to structure the report

This is the most important step.

Good reporting is not defined by the amount of data, azerbaijan phone powder list graphs displayed. But by the analysis it provides, by the conclusions that can be drawn from it.

Any reporting creation must therefore begin with a strategic phase. Arm yourself with a paper and a pen. Write down the objective of your reporting. Then your main KPIs and what types of graphs could allow you to analyze them best and simply. Finally, make the plan of your reporting on a sheet of paper before moving on to the creation phase on Google Data Studio.

Typically, when I create a Facebook Ads report on Google Data Studio, I break it down into several pages.

On the first page, I display an overall status of alb directory campaign performance with the main performance indicators (spend, impressions, reach, clicks, CPC, CTR, conversions, CPA, CR, conversion value, ROAS, etc.). Since my reports are generally monthly, this is the default date range, but users can change it using a date filter at the top of all report pages. The variation compared to the previous month is also displayed under each indicator.

The following pages allow you to dig deeper into performance, with more detailed analyses, by campaigns, by geographies, by audiences, by locations, etc.

Step 4: Time for creation

It’s time to create, and there Google Data Studio offers you a universe of graphs and tools to best present your reporting, personalize it, adapt it to your brand and your objectives.
